A financial service client needed to know why engagement dropped despite posting more often.The Strategy:
We reviewed over 1,000 items in our client’s Facebook manager and 6 months’ worth of organic posts. Any hindrance to follower growth or increased engagement had to be found. Next, we reviewed 6 months of organic posts from their 5 closest competitors to find new ideas.The Results:
Our audit produced 39 recommendations. We learned our client was already followed by four unique audiences, each likely for their own different reasons. We categorized the types of content each segment was most likely to engage with. We also learned focusing on quantity over quality was driving engagement down. So, we proposed a content calendar with less frequent, more compelling posts.After 60 days, they saw a 34% increase in organic impressions! By posting better content, less often, they got greater engagement. Their follower count reversed its negative trend and started growing again. We also saw that shares correlated with increased followers.
